About the mamasteader

HEY THERE, Iโ€™M HANNAH. WIFE, HOMEMAKER, FOLLOWER OF JESUS, AND A SUPERHERO MAMA!

My hobbies include all things cooking, baking, crafting, and writing. I adore being a mom and a wife I truly feel this is my calling in life. I am headstrong which can be considered both a strength and a weakness. Too many projects all at the same time are one of my bad habits.

How did I get here…
โ€œIn 2011 I was in a car accident and part of me knew I was wasting my life here. Fast forward to 2013, I listened to all the people telling me I needed to make something of myself and needed a career. I spent 45k going to school to get my masterโ€™s in registered nurse-midwifery not to finish and โ€œthrow it all away.โ€I knew from the day I left the hospital that I wanted nothing more than to be โ€œjust a momโ€ and โ€œjust a wife.โ€ But for some reason that was severely frowned upon and most of my family couldnโ€™t fathom not having a career. But, in 2014 my husband and I got married and he knew my secret. He knew that I would eventually be a stay-at-home mom and wife. Here I am now pursuing my passion for being a wife and a mama and still have the dream of bringing him home full-time to work side by side at our own business. I am hopeful this blog will allow that for us.โ€

Things I love

01

Family Game Nights

We are a competitive bunch around here. It leaves family game nights interesting…you never know if you will leave the table not talking to one another until the next day.

02

Reading & writing

I always hoarded books and loved reading. I also loved writing and everyone told me how much they loved reading my writing. Next thing I knew I was writing a children’s book…with more to come!

03

Teaching & Learning

It was never in my plan to homeschool, my husband and I went to public school, but now that I do I could never go back. God knew I would thrive in this area. Now I even teach at my local Christian Co-op.
